St. Paul, MN: Northern Pacific Coaling Tower

(Satellite, the site of the engine facilities of a railyard that was north of this location)

HL Mencken posted
Northern Pacific Railway, St. Paul, Minnesota, circa 1930. NP 659, Class B American Standard, Baldwin Locomotive Works, 1887

The NP railyard is the north/south one in this excerpt. At the bottom, NP had the roundhouse in the middle. The roundhouse on the left was the Great Northern and the one on the right was the C&NW.
