Worcester, MA: Union Station: B&A, NYNH&H and B&M

B&A = Boston & Albany
NYNH&H = New York, New Haven & Hartford
B&M = Boston & Maine

It is now used by MBTA and Amtrak.
"Built for the Boston and Albany Railroad, the station features soaring twin white marble towers. Following a period of decline, the building was restored and unveiled with a gala ball in 1999." [amtrak]

If you are ever near Worcester, Mass., visiting the MBTA/Amtrak Station is a must.  No excuses.  Or ride a train there.

Randy Becker: Rode that so many times between Boston and Albany - westbound connection to #39, eastbound connection from #90. Had been an RDC, then discontinued, then reinstated by ICC, so to pad the losses this insane train ... that single coach would cycle back and forth for weeks without any maintenance (often rode it without light and water) but a three person crew. Acceleration was awesome however.

Jerry Fritschle: A couple of years ago my wife and I came in here on the Lake Shore to visit the kids. We also took MBTA from here to see the sights in Boston.

Many of the photos showed the waiting room as being empty. Some showed it filled with tables and chairs. And some, like this one, show some sort of market being held in the "event space."
