Roundhouse: (Satellite, Gateway Safety has repurposed the land the roundhouse was on.)
Bob Edwards posted three photos with the comment: "Linndale Station and roundhouse. This was the stop where Cleveland Union Terminal electric locomotives replaced steam locomotives for the trip east into Union Terminal. Bellaire Rd runs parallel north of the tracks. | AMERICAN Steam Locomotive Rail Fan posted NYC Class S1B 6009 4-8-4 Niagara Northern Steam Locomotive at the New York Central (NYC) Engine Terminal Turntable In Linndale, Ohio in 1940s This Is How Look Without Ears (Smoke Deflectors). These were built in 1945 - 1946 by the American Locomotive Company (Alco). Lived 10 to 11 Years Sadly Withdrawn In 1955 - 1956 Because of Alfred E Perlman Scrapp It. The streets changed a lot in this area, so I flipped back and forth between 1953 and 1994 topo maps with my finger on the monitor to determine the location of the depot and roundhouse.
