Michael Behm posted The Chicago, Burlington and Quincy (CB&Q) depot in David City, Nebraska, was constructed in 1915, replacing an earlier building. Passenger service ended in 1953, but the depot continued as an office for the station agent handling freight, until the Burlington Railroad closed it in 1969. In 1970, the depot was donated to the Butler County Historical Society, my picture from 4-02-18 |

It is on the branch from Lincoln to
Columbus.
BNSF still owns that branch. I wonder what plant justifies keeping that branch active. (Update: the
ADM corn processing plant.)
