Fisher, IL: Lost/IC Depot

(Satellite, a little south of today's Post Office.)

The route was the Havana, Rantoul & Eastern (HR&E), which IC reorganized as the Rantoul Railroad.

The town has grown significantly since the 1950s. That is not true for a lot of small Illinois towns.

Because of the long building behind the depot in Andy's photo, I think it was the rectangle across the tracks from Broadway Street. It looks like it had a house track.

The industrial building is now The Feed Mill On Front, a wedding venue. Considering the aerial photo shows 2 or 3 grain elevators, today's elevator is not very big. Were all of those white dots in the aerial photo grain bins?
