While studying the junction tower in this town, I learned that the IC depot and freight house have been preserved. "The Mills Tower Historic District is located on East Rocksylvania Ave., approximately 1/3 mile east of the old freight house and Illinois Central Depot." [nps]

I took the trackside view of the depot above because if I simpley rotate 180 degrees, I get this view of the freight house.

Note the curve on the south side of the building that is north of the freight house.

Satellite

That means there used to be a track that ran along that curved wall. So I checked out a topo map. It appears that it used to be a spur that came down from the now abandoned Rock Island route.
