Nashville, TN: CSX/Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railyards

West Nashville Shops: (Satellite, it was the triangle between today's I-440, US-70 and CSX tracks)
Union Station Yard: (Satellite, see topo map below for the original extent.)

Ralph Mitchell added

The Union Station Yard was shared with L&N, which accessed it from the route on the northeast end that came across the Cumberland River. Only a remnant of the Union Station Yard is left.

The roundhouse would have been in the lower-right corner of this photo. I'm surprised that it was already torn down by the early 1950s.

A nice aerial view of the Nashville Shops of the Nashville, Chatanooga and St. Louis. These brick shops were built in 1891 to take the place of the outdated wood-framed shops across town. (National Archives)
Rob Smith: what was the location of the yards in Nashville?

Dennis DeBruler answered Rob's question
In this triangle,
