Jack Bobby Lou Mulreavy posted 11 photos with the comment: "Not enough is said about Camden NJ and its awesome waterfront across from Philly. Here are some hi-res Dallin Survey images to download and blow up-also included a shot the south end of Philly's waterfront."

Camden waterfront looking north.
[I moved this to the top because I like an overview photo first to help orient the detailed photos. Note that there is a topo map of the area below after the photos.
Note the gasometer on the right side of the photo, the Pennsy Roundhouse near the middle, and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge near the top.]

Dave Boone: Spruce Street Pier at the top middle, ADCO yard to the extreme right.
Michael Andrescavage Sr: Wasn't it a Gas plant? Now a sheetrock plant is on that site.
Dennis DeBruler: Michael Andrescavage Sr Given the two big gas holders (Gas-O-Meters) that we see in other photos and the Public Service ownership, the primary product was probably manufactured gas. Of course, the way you manufacture gas is to make coke.

Looking at philly from PRR yards at Camden.
Glenn Schwass: So much industry that's all gone. The water had to be nasty by the different shades in areas.
