Mike Cleary: In the late 1970s, ten scheduled freights each way through Butler. Now there is one each way. Chris Keating: Don't worry, it's usually 170+ cars long so it's really two trains. Geoff McCormick: Mike Cleary That must have ended in the early 80s because I remember going to Clyman to watch trains in the early to mid 80s and getting skunked for hours more often than not..... Mike Cleary: Geoff McCormick At that time there were five each way through Clyman, three each way from Green Bay via the Shoreline and two each way from Fond du Lac. Seems like they were often bunched so you could spend a long time on any of those lines without seeing anything. |

I think this is the mechanical shop that they closed in 2019.
