(Passaic River): (Satellite) Technically, this power plant was in Newark, NJ. I could not find its name.
PSE&G = Public Service Electric & Gas
PSEGtransmission, p17 Frigure 14 - Kearny Electric Station nearing end of construction in 1925. 207MW with 5 generators and 15 boilers and 132kv transmission lines [They have yet to construct the third smokestack.] |
This shows Kearny with its original three smokestacks. The bridge is part of the Pulaski Skyway.

Metrotrails added Original Kearny Generating Station on the Kearny Meadows constructed in 1923. It was originally built with six coal fired units, which were converted to oil. The last of these units was retired in 2006, and six natural gas fired units went into service in 2012. |

This photo of the Pulaski Skyway is the only one that I have been able to find of the PSE&G generating station on the Passaic River. I have not been able to find its name, date of construction nor capacity. I wonder if this is the 6-stack generating station that Metrotrails refers to above because the Kearny Station was originally built with just three smokestacks and never had six stacks.

Was the station on the Pulaski River one of these predecessors to the Kearney Station?
