Richard Warner: The melt shop has been shut down since the end of 2014 - early 2015. They tried to get the DRAP line going again in 2018, but having to import slabs and make them into coils to be rolled added 25% more to the expenses when the tariffs started. Unfortunately the mill could find domestic slabs to use, and even though they had a melt shop to make their own, they decided to stop with the DRAP line in 2020 roughly. Today, only the polishing mill is still operational there. This mill once served a huge segment of stainless in the U.S. and around the world.
Nathan Koman: They melt at Brackenridge and Latrobe.

So far, I know of six towns that had a Ludlum Steel mill. I'm just guessing that this work was done in Midland.
