Baxter Springs, KS: 1930 Phillips 66 Gas Station and Route 66 Visitors Center

There is also a preserved Route 66 rainbow arch bridge just north of this town.

While looking for the Page 618 dragline in northeastern Cherokee County in Kansas, I came across this photo. That is what caused me to find this Route 66 museum.

I haven't seen a Phillips 66 gas station in the Midwest in decades. I had assumed they had been bought by someone and no longer exist. But I see there are still a lot of them down here.
