While looking for the
Page 618 dragline in northeastern Cherokee County in Kansas, I came across this photo. That is what caused me to find this Route 66 museum.
Fan belts did not last as long back then.
I haven't seen a Phillips 66 gas station in the Midwest in decades. I had assumed they had been bought by someone and no longer exist. But I see there are still a lot of them down here.
But everyone that I looked at had at most four pumps.
And some are no longer Phillips 66.
