GEM calls this "Res Mine 33." It confirms it is a metallurgical coal mine as opposed to a thermal coal mine. That is, the coal is used to make coke.

The Cambria & Indiana Railroad connected with the Pennsylvania Railroad in Ebensburg. (Indiana is a county that is just west of Cambria County.) Not only is the C&I now abandoned, but so is the Pennsy route, which is now the Ghost Town Trail.

I presume the treeline between the two "black lines" was where the tripper belt ran. And each black line was the three tracks on a side that held 50 cars each.
