This is a rare case where today's yards are bigger than the yards in the 1950s. In fact, CSX's
Queensgate Yard did not open in 1980. Queensgate replaced five former C&O and B&O yards in this area. Gest Street Yard is the only pre-1980 yard in the Mill Creek Valley that still survives. [
DonWinter] Judging from a satellite image, the passenger tracks for the Cincinnati Union Terminal have been rebuilt as an intermodal yard. In fact, it is the NS Gest Street Intermodal Terminal. [

The map shows a nice "shot" of the "freeway style" 360 degree loop required for trains crossing the Ohio River bridge when coming from the east. An urban tehachapi loop.
