Don Crimmin commneted on the post Here is an image I took on 9-26-77 of the westbound Springfield to Beardstown local led by B&O GP9 5938 and GP30 3557 at Ashland, IL. Note the "STOP" board along the train several cars behind the locomotives protecting the GM&O "Jack" line. While this image was made 69 years after the first B&W shot, 46 years have passed since I made the color one. Dennis DeBruler: I'm glad you captured the old grain elevator as well.

The town has a big grain elevator given taht there is no rail service.
