Another great restoration, Alvin TX- ATSF built 1907. I took this picture in 2009. |
I looked for older street views to see what it looked like before the restoration, but the oldest I could find was 2013.
I noticed that there used to be a microwave tower next to the depot. I presume the railroad owned this tower. Since railroads installed fiber optic cables when they installed Positive Train Control (PTC), microwave towers would now be obsolete.
The topo map marks, but does not label, the depot's location.
