My sister, Donna, and her best friend in the mid 50s standing at the same spot as the color picture shot in May 2014. A lumber yard stood where the Casey's is now. The depot is still there. This was a busy line back in the 50s. My grandparents front porch was a great place to watch trains. The closeup picture of the depot was also shot in May 2014."

The
Total Grain Marketing grain elevator survived the lack of rail service.
In fact, there is another set of bins a few blocks north along the abandoned railroad route. The bins in the right background are part of the above elevator.
