Lincoln Highway Overview
Note the preserved train order semaphores. I wonder who currently operates this route.

Andy Sarge posted The Gettysburg "Lincoln" Depot. The Gettysburg Railroad opened the Depot in 1858 and hosted President Lincoln when arrived to tour the battlefield and deliver the Gettysburg Address. The rail line would later become a branch of the Western Maryland Railroad.
Eric Zeliff: Try about 5 years after 1858 Randall Hampton: Lincoln arrived from the left. At that time, the line ended here. The infamous railroad cut to the west did not yet have tracks. |
Reading Railroad had a branch that terminated in this town.

I cruised the Lincoln Highway through town using street view from east to west. I didn't see anything specific to the Lincoln Highway such as murals on the wall or historic markers. But I did see a lot of architecture. This block is west of the traffic circle.
Even what I presume to be newer buildings are not just boxes.
