John Stell: Thomas Dyrek thanks. 2 different elevators?
Thomas Dyrek: John Stell Yes. Not sure what the company or companies were but the older wooden elevator in this picture was torn down during or right after World War II. The newer concrete elevator is still standing.

The town has not grown much since 1940. That is probably one reason it has retained its quaint buildings.

I wonder what the bins in the lower-left corner of this extract were used for. It appears the depot was between Pine and Green Streets and that there were more grain elevators beside and behind the photographer.
