It is so nice to discover a depot that Amtrak is willing to use as a train station. They seem more likely to build a shack nearby or use just a small part of the original depot.
Evidently BNSF runs a local train out of this town because these two old paint scheme locomotives and the caboose seem to stay in this town. The caboose would be used as the
shoving platform.
In the background of the depot photos is the big elevator on the right in this view looking East from Main Street. I don't see a fall protector for it, so I doubt if it is rail served.
West of Main Street is another old grain elevator. In 2008, the locomotive set has an old BN locomotive instead of a Sante Fe locomotive.
