Michael Emerson Avitt posted Harry Graves: I filled in there as an "Extra relief agent/operator", in the fall of '67. By that time, that agency was "dualized" with Orient. A little old English lady ran the Orient elevator and they shipped a lot of grain, which I "billed out'! Mc Cafferty's Drug store, across from the depot, had a soda fountain where I could get a Lemon coke, whenever I wanted one. I stayed in the Hotel Greenfield and there was a really nice movie theatre in town. The blockbuster hit movie "Bonnie & Clyde" had just came out and I went to see it 2 nights in a row! |
It probably was the slanted square a little west of 3rd Street and a little south of Oak Street.
