Nebo, IL: Lost/GM&O Depot

(Satellite, according to the aerial photo below.)

Gulf, Mobile and Ohio (GM&O) Railroad in Nebo, Illinois 1968
The original location of the Depot was on Main Street, but around 1890, the Railroad was relocated to create a better grade across Pike County, causing the Depot to be moved to Union Street, one block west.
While GM&O passenger service to Nebo ceased by 1959, the Depot itself played a role in the village's history, according to Heartland Lodge. The GM&O Railroad itself underwent several mergers and name changes, eventually becoming part of the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad in 1972, and later the Illinois Central Railroad again. Wikipedia notes that many of the former GM&O lines in Illinois were sold off in 1996.
Andy Brown: Line was sold before 96. It was first, the Chicago, Missouri and Western and then became the Gateway Western before the GWRR was bought by KCS. Believe CMNW started up in 86 or 87 and was out of business by 88 or 89
