A westbound BNSF stack train blasts through Lee, Illinois while contractors prepare to unload the last of three massive Siemens transformers. Special delivered on heavy-duty depressed center flat cars, these were destined for the new Facebook data center in Dekalb, Illinois.

Somewhat rare occasion seeing the Lee elevator track being used.

I've noticed that Class I railroads maintain obsolete sidings to grain elevators so that they have somewhere to park Maintenance of Way (MoW) equipment overnight. This photo provides another reason for maintaining a short siding --- transloading cargo.

No street view driver got closer to the elevator and there is no label for it on Google Maps.
