safe_image for Salisbury Union Station revitalization chugging along with new grant from DHCD Union Station was built in 1913 and was once a travel hub for the Delmarva Peninsula. Now, the dream is to breathe new life into the building and make it a different kind of hub. Alexander Mitchell: This PRR station had been purchased years ago for conversion to the brewpub that eventually became Evolution Craft Brewing. That project faltered over city, county, and state issues over water consumption and sewage rates, and the company set up production in a former IGA market a quarter-mile over the Delaware state line until a former ice plant with its own high-capacity deep well came on the market. The owners had been trying to unload the station for some time now. Alexander Mitchell shared PRR depot, Salisbury, Md. on the Delmarva Peninsula. |
