This stripmall that was built on a passenger train yard pays homage as to why there is now a "Old Train Station Road" in this area.

Wilkes-Barre's last remaining train station was originally built in 1868 by the Lehigh & Susquehanna Railroad later owned by the Central Railroad of New Jersey. It's a really distinctive brick building with Victorian architectural features, including a big wooden cupola and a neat hipped roof. It was a fairly prominent stop back in the day, and it closed for passenger service in 1963 and completely closed in 1972. Now it's part of the National Register of Historic Places and it's been restored (for the third time - first a hotel and fancy restaurant, second a nightclub) and now to house  Visit Luzerne County. Most outfits, when they spend that much money on refurbishing a depot, provide a history of the depot. But I could not find it on their website. I did find a history of some buildings, but it does not include their own building. Later, I found a Google Maps label of "Central Railroad of New Jersey Station."

I started with a 1963 aerial because it had better resolution. But I could not find the LV depot.

So I got the older aerial. This shows the white rectangle in the above aerial used to be the depot.
