Bob Ciminel posted two photos with the comment: "The USS Saxonburg, PA sintering plant supplied sized iron sinter to the blast furnaces using three sintering lines. The sinter lines used very fine natural ore and iron-bearing materials from blast furnaces and rolling mills. Iron ore was supplied by Minnesota, Quebec, and Venezuela."

Mark Knupp: Did it send the processed pellets to the furnaces in the mon Valley?
