Wood Grain Elevator: (Satellite)
Pet Food Mill: (Satellite)
James D Kesel posted Meta, Mo Jack Wright: Ok, let's give the proper credit for these pics. Both taken by Mark Nelson from Oregon, WI. Both are of No. 74, the summer pic is June 1975, the winter pic is approx 3 pm on a Saturday in late January 1977. I have the exact dates noted but haven't looked them up recently. I shot the same train led by 4531 earlier that day around noon in Eldon as it came in to change crews. I was using a Kodak 110 instamatic in those days so my shot wasn't even in the same universe as Mark's. James D Kesel: Jack Wright Did he take any more we could get? Jack Wright: James D Kesel yes, Mark took many more pics of the St Louis Line in the Feb to July 1975 time frame while he was stationed at Ft Leonard Wood. He also shot a lot of Frisco in that same time period. Many of his best RI & Frisco Missouri shots are in this excellent book: Rails Around Missouri The Show-Me State in Days Past https://a.co/d/agGmzYZ |
