According to the topo map below, the route that is close to being north/south was the Pennsy and the diagonal route was the Reading.

Alexander Mitchell: Steve Barnes Not a thing of the Reading east of the tower or the tower itself; the Reading to the NW is the connection to the Union County Industrial RR at West Milton; and of course the NS Buffalo Line, at least for the moment......... The car shop visible in the background in some shots has been owned by AITX since 2022.
