| Durand Union Station-Michigan Railroad History Museum posted Today’s featured depot is the GTW station in Vickeryville 🚂 Vickeryville, located in Montcalm County, was settled about 1856. It was located approximately five miles west of Carson City, and originally called Vickory Corners but renamed in 1869. This area was sometimes referred to as Vickerville as well. Vickeryville sat along the Grand Trunk Western (GTW) railroad. The town was flourishing around 1900, but progress slowed over time and the town declined. To the best of our knowledge, this depot no longer exists. Sources: "Station: Vickeryville, MI". Michigan Railroads. http://www.michiganrailroads.com/.../1530-vickeryville-mi. Accessed 13 May 2026. The photo shows a curve in the track, but I don't see that curve on the map. There is a curve further to the west. But if we assume the photo was taken from the road, that curve does not match the photo.
