The Midland Valley terminated in Wichita.
Chris Cruz
posted two photos with the comment: "The Midland Valley Railroad depot in Wichita, KS was identified as and ex-Kansas City, Mexico & Orient depot. After it ceased operations, it served as a Staley Feed store."
Mike Bartels: The Jan. 12, 1964, Wichita Eagle said razing of the old Midland Valley depot and freight house in the 500 block of West Douglas will start soon to clear the site for the new Metropolitan Baptist Church. It has been occupied by Valley Feed and Seed Co. since Midland Valley passenger service ended in 1931. (The lower photo shows Valley was trying to sell it.)

Chris Cruz commented on his post The Midland Valley depot was reported to open in a few days in the 9-28-1911 issue of the Wichita Eagle. A later article states Sizemore Feed took over the depot located at 517 West Douglas. |
