Chicago & North Western Historical Society posted Someone wanted to know when the C&NW tracks between Tracy and Watertown, South Dakota were were pulled up. Can someone answer that question? All we can do is to offer these two photos of the C&NW depot in Esteline, South Dakota on that line. The bottom photo was taken in 1973 so the rails disappeared before then. |

Not only is the building in the center of the above view wood, it has KENT signs. I assumed that the many small bins needed by a feed mill are still in the wood buildings and that this elevator still makes feed. But then I looked at
their webpage, and it doesn't say anything about feed. So I removed the "grainFeed" label from these notes.
I don't think this map is correct. The old photo above implies that the depot was between tracks.
