Estelline, SD: Lost/C&NW Depot and Wood KENT Grain Elevator

Depot: (Satellite, the depot land has been repurposed.)
Wood Elevator: (Satellite)

Note the water tower in the older photo. I assume the horse and wagon is on State Avenue.

Someone wanted to know when the C&NW tracks between Tracy and Watertown, South Dakota were were pulled up.  Can someone answer that question?  All we can do is to offer these two photos of the C&NW depot in Esteline, South Dakota on that line.  The bottom photo was taken in 1973 so the rails disappeared before then.

Not only is the building in the center of the above view wood, it has KENT signs. I assumed that the many small bins needed by a feed mill are still in the wood buildings and that this elevator still makes feed. But then I looked at their webpage, and it doesn't say anything about feed. So I removed the "grainFeed" label from these notes.

I don't think this map is correct. The old photo above implies that the depot was between tracks.
