Roundup, MT: Office/Milwaukee Depot and Wood Grain Elevator

Depot: (Satellite)
Elevator: (Satellite)

Roger Hooper posted four photos with the comment: "The CMStP&PR (The Milwaukee Road) depot in Roundup Montana. A necessary coal stop as Roundup was the location of the Republic Mine Co. It’s still standing and in excellent shape."

It looks like it is now maintained by the local electric company.

When I looked for the grain elevator that I saw in the background of the two historical photos, I found a wood elevator.

The grain elevator in the background of the historical photos is extant, https://maps.app.goo.gl/qxMp9b8DUEfppf6p7.
Roger Hooper: Dennis DeBruler the last one of 4 that were in that same area.
The ground behind the elevator was the stockyard for loading sold cattle onto stock cars.

Sam Walter posted two photos with the comment: "On my way back from Winnett, I stopped to catch this elevator in Roundup, Montana. Along the abandoned Milwaukee Road northwest line."

Unlike most small towns, the elevator was not built along a siding off the mainline. It is more of an industrial spur. I wonder if they built the spur to keep the stockyard away from the mainline.
