Bobbie Lee posted
1910 postcard image of Yoder, Indiana depot. The card’s caption reads: Lake Shore Depot, Sheldon, Indiana.
Yoder was previously named Sheldon and no one is sure how or why the town’s name was changed and blame the railroads.
The post office officially made the town’s name Yoder in 1920.

Terri Shimp: Found this on Weebly:
The village was named Sheldon in honor of the superintendent
of the railroad. The railroad in later years changed the name of the station to Yoder

The grain elevator has grown a lot.

And it looks like MacroSource sells a lot of liquid fertilizer.

The elevator must get some rail service because a railroad would not store just one car.

The fertilizer supply company gets quite a bit of rail service. Note that there is a second large tank that we can't see in the above street view.

This map did not mark the location of the depot.
