Emington, IL: 1880 (GO) Lost/Wabash Depot

(Satellite, between the intersection of Wabash and South Streets and the track.)

Richard Fiedler posted four photos with the comment: "Wabash depot Emington IL telegraph call “GO”built 1880. This style depot was used extensively and solely on Wabash’s Bement to Chicago line specifically between Wing IL to Chicago. That line segment was built by Wabash predecessor the Chicago and Strawn RR a construction name but operated by the Wabash and absorbed by the Wabash in 1880 as well as the Chicago and Paducah RR that lines connection that completed the route."
Jimmy Fiedler: The only survivor of this design is the depot in Worth IL

Emington Illinois Railroad Depot 1908
Richard Fiedler: Andy Zukowski the Tri color scheme of buff over gray with red oxide trim was used appropriately 1890-1910, then replaced by solid red oxide, then solid gray with white trim, and finally gray with black trim. Note the cinder ballast. The train is southbound and appears to be an all stops local with a RPO, express/baggage car, and 2 coaches.
