Andy Zukowski posted. The CB&Q Railroad Depot in Fairview, Illinois, in 1965 Robert Fiedler: Fulton County Narrow Gauge Ry depot. Archie Hayden: I figured it must have been from a predecessor road account brick construction. The Q used mostly frame construction with smaller depots! Michael Matalis: According to R&LHS bulletin 61A on the Fulton County Narrow Gauge this was one of two brick depots on the line. Built in 1881. Richard Fiedler shared Robert Fiedler: Fulton County Narrow Gauge Ry depot. Thomas Whitt shared Roger Kujawa: I always wondered if this was built by the Fulton County Narrow Gauge or the Burlington after they took it over. Ron Hatch: Roger Kujawa Built by the FCNG, this was originally intended to be the northern terminus, before the Burlington takeover. The only other brick depot on the line was at Lewistown, with company headquarters on the second floor. |
