Fowler, IN: Lost/Big Four Depot

(Satellite, the land is still scared where the platform used to be. US-52 did not cut through town back then.)

This former Big Four route is now owned by the Kankakee, Beaverville & Southern.

This is when I noticed that US-52 did not go through town early in the 20th Century. We not only see a white rectangle for the depot, we see a long skinny white rectangle for the platform.

US-52 did go through town by 1962.

US-52 used to use 5th Street and Grant Ave. to get through town. Now that I know where to look, I can see that in the aerial photo.
