In 1879, Ft. Smith - Little Rock Railroad was built through Ozark. @ 0:20

The existing depot was built in 1910. By then, MoPac had bought SIMS. It is built with Pennsylvania Sandstone. (That means the sandstone was deposited during the Pennsylvanian Period (323.2 to 298.9 mya), not that it came from Pennsylvania.)
The station was served by four passenger trains during its peak.
Ozark was the end of the upstream navigation by steamboats. And a lot of coal was transferred here.
It has a Craftsman style.
