Chuck McAbee: Worked Newton Falls off the extra list in 1967-68. Mostly 3rd trick. Daylight guy lived in Newton Falls - he was a minute man - wouldn't walk up the stairs until 0659 for a 0700 start.
Stan Stanovich: …in the early 2000’s I had the opportunity to visit the second trip operator for a portion of his shift. I don’t remember exactly when but within the next few years the tower was destroyed in a wreck. I can’t remember how the operator faired…
Matt Philip: Use to be my office till the train derailed and took it out in 2011.
There were 3 of us at the time that reported there, the morning of the derailment I was HSL someone knocked the gate off of Belmont ave in Niles, the guy whose territory it was didn’t take the call, that same guy was running late that morning and the other guy was already at work and forgot his lunch so he ran home to get it. Luckily none of us were there when it hit we would of all perished the car that ultimately struck the building hit the window where where one of the desks were pushed it into the second and third desk and up against the wall

The asymmetric roofline makes it easy to spot the tower on the south side of the tracks between Canal and Center Streets.
