FY: (Satellite, the cantilevered platform for the tower has been removed.)
B&O's mainline went across the Pittsburgh peninsula where they found a couple of river valleys that faced each other. (See topo map below for details.) The GN tower on the south side controlled a spur to downtown for their passenger and freight stations. The FY tower on the north side controlled a spur to their 38th Street Yard and industrial trackage along the river.
GN Tower
Darren Reynolds posted two photos with the comment: "B&O's 'GN' Tower (Laugalin Jct.) in Pittsburgh, PA. I have no information about this tower. Any stories or other information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you."
Bryce Walat: I recall hearing that Laughlin Junction had one of a few “fully loaded” color position light signals on the B&O (had all aspects).
