Depot: (

Caboose: (
Satellite, its under the trees in the corner of the parking lot.)
Note the caboose in the right background. According to the Google Maps label, the building now houses the
chamber of commerce.
The three railroads through town, from north to south were Southern; Atlanta, Birmingham & Coast and L&N. The AB&C became part of the Seaboard Coast Line. CSX choose to use the AB&C tracks, rather than the L&N tracks, to go through town. This topo map shows why the trackside of the depot is on a diagonal. It is because the L&N went from Coffee Street to Battle Street between East and Hill streets.
