The railroad is now owned by ICE.
I should have used the label "grainWood" instead of "grainOld" for elevators built with wood because this one is not old! I have been passing up wood grain elevators because there are quite a few of them still left. But when I saw this was built in the second half of the 20th Century, I wanted to note it.

South Complex- Combination headhouse/annex built in 1968, Quad States Construction Co.

Dennis DeBruler: I did not realize that wood elevators were still being built in the second half of the 20th Century.
Wesley Peters: Dennis DeBruler The last wooden elevators were built in Iowa in 1978, an annex at Stacyville, and a headhouse at Marengo.
