Fortescue, MO: Repurposed/CB&Q Depot and Big Grain Elevator

Depot: (Satellite)
Grain Elevator: (Satellite)

Street View, Aug 2024

After I noticed that there was not a bay window in the above track-side view, I looked on the other side. The elevator must be busy because I could not find a view without a truck obstructing the view of the bay window, but there is a bay window on this side. Either the track has been moved or the depot was turned.

I looked for the second street view to confirm that I had found the correct building. Note that this photo also has white tanks on the west side of the building. Is the depot now used as the scale house?

The above view is looking West. The below view is looking East.

The town does have a siding, but once again, it is used to store MoW equipment rather than to serve the grain elevator. It looks like a tamper is parked on the siding in this view.
And here is the Herzog Multi-Purpose Machine (MPM) that I saw in the 2013 view above.

I noticed that the railroad was double tracked to the East and single tracked to the West. They may have moved the track further north to retain the northern track on the east side as the mainline. And to make more room for the grain elevator.

Fortescue is west of Napier, which is near the center of this excerpt. Napier no longer exists as a town, but it does exist as a junction.
