One of the worst looking buildings along the former Illinois Terminal trackage is this depot on the Mackinaw Junction to Lincoln line in Union, Illinois. This is not the Union that houses the Illinois Railway Museum as that is 175+ miles away from this location.
There's an Illinois Terminal phone booth on a nearby property, though unfortunately I didn’t manage to get a picture of it.
Eamon Ault: What are all the circles?
Bill Sutliff: Eamon Ault -it was a powerhouse of some sort. There were insulators in those circles for bringing high voltage wire in and out. The pic showing the inside of the open garage has three of them on the back wall. These would have been inside of each of those circles.
Dion Williams: When was the line abandoned and removed?
Dennis DeBruler: Dion Williams A 1951 topo maps shows the track, but a 1958 topo map marks it as "Old RR grade."
