Came across this wonderfully restored B&O tower in New Castle, PA.  Moved off the mainline to and area that appears to be the start of a park.  So much past history in the New Castle area with the BO, PRR, PLE and multiple large steel mills and steel processing.

Stephen Timko: The EL served New Castle also.

Dennis DeBruler: What are the street names of a nearby intersection? And do you know where the tower used to be?

Was using a Ghost Rails book but not sure. Was focused on all the branches and old steel mill properties that criss crossed this area.

When I saw this view, I remembered that I had already written notes about this tower in 2024. And those notes reminded me that I had also written about this tower in 2023.

B&O UN Tower located at the east end of New Castle Yard in West Pittsburgh, PA. 1980’s. Tower has been relocated, and restored.
