A C&O westbound coal train is passing the original MA Cabin in Marion, that was moved across the tracks from MD Cabin (Which still stands today.) on October 18, 1981. I was the second shift operator this day at MD Cabin and as usual, there were no orders to hand on. The train is made up of N&W hoppers destined for the Toledo docks and came off the N&W at Valley Crossing on the south side of Columbus, Ohio. In a few days the cars will return this way and back to the N&W from whence they came. Photo by Dale A. DeVene Jr.

I had a request for an inside photo of MD Cabin in Marion, Ohio.
Here we go!  That is yours truly copying orders with the wonderful ear crushing head set on.  Wasn't a fan of the hard plastic earphone, but it was part of the job and a good life lesson.  This was June 24, 1981 taken when I was working 2nd trick at MD.  Photo by Susan DeVene.
Scott H. Brown: When was MD torn down? Did it control MA too or was there a tower there as well?
Dale DeVene: Scott H. Brown MD Still stands at the corner of Fairgrounds and Lee St. It controlled from MA to MD.
David Mays II: Dale DeVene - What was traffic like at that time?
Dale DeVene: David Mays II 8 to 10 each way most days. Plus the yard crew in Marion.
