New Miami, OH: New River (WR) Tower: NS/N&W/Pennsy vs. B&O/CH&D + Aban/Erie

(Satellite, west of the Pennsy track and just south of Union Ave.)

GR&I = Grand Rapids & Indiana

Michael Shirey posted eight photos with the comment: "B&O “WR” tower in New Miami, Ohio on the double track mainline that run between Cincinnati and Toledo Ohio. The line that crosses is the GR&I from Cincinnati to Fort Wayne, Indiana on Penn Central rails. These photos were taking in the early 1980s."[Some comments indicated that the Pennsy rights never went to Conrail, they went to N&W instead.]

Dennis DeBruler: Thanks for capturing the signaling pipelines as well as the sheet metal (trains).

David L White: It wasn't the GR&I, the GR&I ended at Richmond. Also, the line ran into Richmond and continued on toward Logansport. Today, under Norfolk Southern, it runs to New Castle, IN, and then joins the former Nickel Plate from there to Fort Wayne.

Tom Shepard: I was the signal maintainer there in the late 70’s early 80’s.
